Single-horned 'Unicorn' deer found in Italy
Wed Jun 11, 2008
Unicorns don't fly, that's a Pegasus. And as for the magical powers...that's the unicorn's horn, not the unicorn itself.
Is American Idol's Credibility Shot?
Fri Apr 11, 2008
If you really listen for it, many singers do this. Next time you're listening to the radio turn it to a station where someone is actually singing, not rap or anything.
I beat the PS2 game Kingdom Hearts!
Sun Jan 20, 2008
I usually have the same problem. It's the same after I finish reading a really great book. I've spent a lot of time with it, then *poof* it's done. I guess that's why they make sequels, although they usually end up being a huge disappointment. I'm afraid trying KH2 will tarnish the original.
What Atheism offers: A poverty not just of spirit but also of mind
Tue Oct 23, 2007
Even though I wholeheartedly disagree with the main point of the whole article i can certainly relate to the author's feelings about Christianity without being a Christian. Most of the Christian people I know lead fulfilling, spiritual lives that I'm jealous of.
What Atheism offers: A poverty not just of spirit but also of mind

Well said, Belarius. I don't see where the author gets off even putting Atheists and Western literature or art in the same sentence. A person's religious beliefs have a minuscule impact (if any) on your enjoyment, understanding, appreciation or knowledge of any type of art.
Alleged sex offender tries to castrate himself
Tue Oct 23, 2007
I'm also having a hard time feeling sorry for him. I'll give him props for realizing that his feelings weren't normal and trying to prevent himself from hurting anyone else, but I just cant feel sorry for people who hurt other people, much less children.
Shhh...My Child Is Sleeping (in My Bed, Um, With Me)
Tue Oct 23, 2007
I too was surprised there are no arguments against co-sleeping here. My two month old daughter falls asleep by herself when I put her down about 8pm and only wakes up for feedings once or twice during the night (her crib in in my bedroom for now).

I was just about to look up when the World Series was on, thanks for bringing it up.
Wrong Turn on the Road to Grandma's House: Horror's Debt to Fairy Tales
Mon Oct 22, 2007
I never put fairy tales and horror movies together before, but now that its made obvious I can see the similar story lines. Since many of Grimm's fairy tales were not originally met for children it makes sense they are now being adapted for horror movies.
